ABOUT

Established 1985.

​The team plays in the Tri-State Rugby Conference against schools from New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.  The players have been involved in many volunteering activities including:  New York Blood Center Blood drives, Taste of New Paltz, Veterans for Peace, 5k for Cystic Fibrosis and an Annual sponsored Rugby undergraduate scholarship. The team is currently bound by a code of conduct that all players must adhere to.

​The State University of New York at New Paltz, known as SUNY New Paltz for short, is a public university in New Paltz, New York. It was founded in 1828 as a school for the teaching of the classics. In 1885, the New Paltz Normal and Training School was established as a school to prepare teachers for the public schools of New York State. In the 1980s, it was called State University of New York College of Arts and Science New Paltz. It has been called the State University of New York at New Paltz since 1994.
